Registration form for
new private press books

If you are a private press and have a new book that you would like to be listed in the next issue of Parenthesis, and/or announced to FPBA members via the FPBA e-newsletter, and/or listed in the Private Libraries Association's annual bibliography Private Press Books, you can use this form to send us the details and/or to offer a copy for review.

Please read the following instructions first.

Books are eligible for inclusion in the Private Libraries Association’s annual bibliography Private Press Books if they are printed by hand using letterpress or other relief processes (lithography and intaglio printing are admitted in a few special cases only). Books will be listed under the names of printers, rather than those of publishers (if different). Presses which do not print books in the English language are not eligible, although those which print some English texts may submit details for all their books, regardless of language. Books with fewer than eight printed pages are generally excluded, although smaller pieces of particular importance, or forming part of a larger series, are sometimes admitted.

The same rules apply to listings in Parenthesis and to the FPBA e-newsletter except that books printed by lithography and intaglio printing can be included.

Please complete the 'Your Press' section in full. Then, if you have just one book to report, complete the 'Your Book' section, and click the SUBMIT button at the end. If you have further books to report, navigate back to this form, fill in just your press name again in the 'Your Press' section, complete the details for the next book, and then click on SUBMIT. Repeat for each further book you wish to report.

Each volume of Private Press Books contains illustrations showing representative work. It would be of great help if you could send the editors a few sample illustrations from your books for possible inclusion. Proof pulls on white paper are best, but most forms of reproduction can be used, and unused sheets from the books themselves are very acceptable. High-quality PDFs and other computerised images can also be used. If you need further information please check this box: .

The Small Print. The FPBA provides this as a free service to FPBA members. We shall endeavour to transcribe your description accurately and use it verbatim. We cannot guarantee to report your book as space is limited.
